Everything You Need To Know About The Nissan Skyline

Nissan's most powerful car the Skyline GT-R. The GT-R has been around for a while now, but has been constantly developed throughout its time on sale to keep it on par with the world's most capable sports cars. It's the smallest and lightest here, yet the R32's interior is reasonably spacious, if basic, with that now-retro mouse-fur trim Nissan once loved.

The Nissan GT-R is well worth the long wait and going by the track experience it is a car that every auto enthusiast should have one parked in their garage. Time attack cars demolished lap records, street racers bullied 911s into submission, magazines and media idolised the beasts, and Skylines appeared on the bedroom walls of teenage boys the world over.

The 2018 Nissan GT-R has distinctive tuner-world style; it's almost restrained, by exotic-car standards. However, the Z-Tune GT-Rs were built in 2005, years after the R34 model had already ceased production. Twenty-seven years later, we can look back at the birth Nissan Skyline GT-R of a legend and marvel at how the E-BNR32 chassis Skyline GT-R tore a hole for itself in history, the right car at the right time.

A softer, leather trimmed M-Spec variant is offered alongside the popular V-Spec I and II models, which are equipped with front and (carbonfibre) rear diffusers, an adjustable rear wing, and enhanced functionality for the dash-mounted display. Between 1969 and 1974, and again between 1989 and 2002, Nissan produced a high performance version of its Skyline coupe called the Nissan Skyline GT-R.

A Nissan Skyline GT-R that starred alongside Walker in 2009's Fast & Furious,” the fourth installment of the car-racing franchise, has been listed for sale at the wallet-busting price of $1.4 million, reports Yahoo Autos. But when it comes to Japanese high-performance tarmac gobblers, and the highest of automotive technology, the Nissan Skyline GT-R has no equal.

Some people tried to import the GT-R into America using expertise gained in the 1980s, when so-called gray-market cars were imported from Europe and then modified to meet U.S. regulations for air emissions. Most of these cars were driven year-round and rust is common.

The 2018 Nissan GT-R performance coupe adds a new, lower-priced Pure model to the lineup. Perhaps the daddy of all Skyline-era GT-R special editions was this, the phenomenal Nismo Z-Tune. In January, 1999, the fifth generation of the Nissan Skyline GT-R was released.
